Residency and Citizenship

RESIDENCY:
Foreigners wishing to apply for temporary or permanent residency in the
Dominican Republic must go through the administrative process as established by
the Immigration Office, in accordance with General Immigration Law No. 285-04.

CITIZENSHIP:
Children of Dominican parents born abroad, foreigners married to Dominicans, foreigners with at least two years permanent residency in the Dominican Republic and foreigners with real estate investments in the Dominican Republic may all apply for Dominican citizenship.
